Johnny Davis
Johnny Davis has a strong calling on his life. Coming from brokenness, he now lives his life fully resting in the name of Jesus and leads his family with a heart of service. He married Kylee (our SHINE leader) in October 2020. He has a son named JT and has another baby on the way!
He’s a go getter and goal setter, starting his own construction company with a friend. Johnny gave his life to the Lord in 2016 and has been hungry for the scriptures ever since. When he was asked to pick a favorite he answered all of them, but if he had to pick it would be Isaiah 6:7-8, “here am I Lord, send me.”
Billy Martin
Billy Martin has always been a constant, reassuring presence with Girl Power. From security to greeting people to helping with anything he’s asked to do. Now he is taking on a leadership role in CLAY our young men’s mentorship program. He’s a man’s man with a teddy bear heart.
He married Brenda in 1970. They have a daughter (Stacie, founder of Missin313), a grandson named Logan and great grandson named Beckett. He has been retired twice once from TXDot after 30 years and again from the city of Kaufman after 10!
He loves Jesus and never fails to jump in when ask. He serves as a deacon in his church, helps with VBS, and is a pillar in the kingdom. His favorite verse is John 3:16.
Jimmy York
Only Jimmy could tie the Jungle Book into his favorite scripture, but that’s just one of the things we love about him! He explains that he watched the original Jungle Book movie when he was 4 years old and it left a deep impression on him. In the movie, Shere Khan was about to kill Mowgli, and Baloo jumps in and saves him. During his fight with Shere Khan, Baloo appears to have lost his life to save Mowgli. At this time of sorrow Bagheera tells him: Greater love hath no one than he who lays down his life for his friend. (John 15:13)
Jimmy has been married to his wife Lana for 36 years and they have 3 children. He gave his life to the Lord in 2010 and jumped into the RA program and has been with it ever since. He has been involved with several outreaches including mission trips to Ukraine, Operations Christmas Child and Tres Dias.
