Makaye married John in 2022 and together they have a beautiful daughter, Wynona Jane (who we affectionately call our worship baby) and a precious son in heaven, Rhueben. They have 1 cat, Arthas.

She gave her heart to The Lord when she was 6 years old. Growing up as a preacher’s kid she has always been involved in church ministry in some way or another, including leading several mission trips to Romania! She is a member of Liberty Baptist Church, serves on the Praise Team and heads up the Meal Train Ministry. She works at UTHealth in Athens as a Registered Nurse.

A few of her favorite things are coffee, reading and watching TV with her family. Her favorite scripture is 2 Timothy 1:7.

To know Makaye is to love her. She embodies the sweet, gentle hands and feet of Jesus. She is the most genuine person and has so much love! If you’ve ever had the privilege to have her pray with you, know that she feels every word.
