To know Makaye is to love her. She embodies the sweet, gentle hands and feet of Jesus. She is the most genuine person and has so much love! If you’ve ever had the privilege to have her pray with you, know that she feels every word.

She married John Mendez in 2002 and they have a daughter named Wynona Jane (who we affectionately call our worship baby).

Makaye gave her heart to God when she was 6 years old. Growing up as a preacher’s kid she has always been involved in church ministry in some way or another, including leading several mission trips to Romania! She also leads worship at her church. Her favorite scripture is 2 Timothy 1:7.
